| Job Description: |
We are seeking a Junior WordPress / PHP - MySQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites, custom PHP applications, and MySQL databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites using custom themes and plugins.
- Develop custom PHP applications to meet specific business requirements.
- Design and maintain MySQL databases and write efficient queries.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing WordPress sites, custom PHP applications, and MySQL databases.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress, PHP, and MySQL trends and technologies.
- Collaborate with the design and content teams to implement new features and functionality.
- Test code for quality assurance before deployment.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in WordPress, PHP, and MySQL development.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience working with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Familiarity with custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and web standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of MySQL database design and SQL programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and techniques.
- Familiarity with server administration and hosting environments.
